About Ed

Ed was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  In 1993 Ed began his career as an agent with New York Life.  He has been a member of NAIFA since 1994 and served as President of NAIFA of the Lehigh Valley from 1999-2000.  Ed has earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) from The American College and is also designated a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®). He is a Qualifying Member of The Million Dollar Round Table.

In addition to working with his clients, Ed serves as the Political Involvement Leader for New York Life's Greater Philadelphia General Office. In this role, he follows legislative policy issues that have the potential to affect the financial services industry and his clients and meets with legislators in our region and in Washington, DC to advocate for appropriate government policy.

Ed has been very active in his community over the years.  He currently serves on the the ArtsQuest Musikfest Committee and has been a Musikfest volunteer for over 30 years.  He is a past president of the Northampton County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and a past president of the Governor Wolf PTA.  He serves as a board member of the Freedom High School sports booster club, know as The Patriot Club. Ed coached both Little League and tournament softball teams for a number of years. He has been married to his wife, Karen, since 1991.  They have a daughter named Jana who earned her degree in Economics from UCLA in 2021 and continues to work and live in Southern California with her husband.  In Ed's spare time he enjoys attending sporting events, Penn State football, Phillies and IronPigs baseball, golfing, reading biographies of the founding fathers, photography and visiting the west coast.
